Just a quick question…
I’m planning to appeal to UC Irvine and their website have 300 characters for the “brief summary part” then there’s another part where to upload the appeal letter along with physically signature.
I did called the admission office for clarification and the lady told me that there’s no any specific word limit, she said some people use 3 pages but some people only uses 3 sentences to appeal.
Can anyone give me some suggestion that how many pages/ word you use generally for appeal letter? (I know it can’t be too long but it can’t be too short… right ?)
I’m appealing also and I have no idea either. Do you happen to know approximately how many people are appealing?
No clue, since every year is different…
All I know is that is really hard and rare for them to overturn the decision (unless the yield rate is super low this year), since Irvine make the appeal deadline as 5/1 (so they want to see the yield rate first before they start accepting students from waitlist and appeal).
That is just my assumptions, it could be right or there might be some other reason they do that…
Anyway, I believe is better for you to submit your appeal ASAP so they get to review (at least that’s what UCSD did) and BEST LUCK!!!
I appealed my engineering degree because I was accepted as undeclared, has anyone heard any responses from the engineering department on their appeal?
Anyone received an email asking you to set up your uc irvine gmail account for new student? I appealed my decision and I reviewed this email, but it still shows appeal pending…
@ControlledChaos Are you a freshman or transfer?
@ste1111 Hi! When did you submit your appeal? I still haven’t heard back : (
Did not many people appeal to Irvine this year? Previous UCI appeal threads had a lot more comments and 2018’s thread is so quiet
anybody contact them to see when appeals might be released?
