***UC Irvine Class of 2022 Applicants***

oh jk
it went back up

Mines is… um…

Accepted cog sci, 3.8 W 1320 SAT

Isn’t it easier to get in as OOS with a 50% chance. Only 100 enroll out of the 2500. Why am I struggling here?

yeah, i guess it’s rolling out every hour?

@NickGer If you aren’t admitted to any UC that you applied to and you meet the requirements (which you do) then your application will go around to other campuses, even ones you didn’t apply to, and they can offer you admission. All of the UCs this year are WAY more difficult to get into because now all UCs have to accepted the same number of transfers as they do freshmen, and rather than accepting more transfers they are accepting less freshmen. You are highly qualified and from what you’ve said, you also have a very strong application.

@SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 UCI is ranked 9th best public university in the country as per USNWR for 2017. UCLA was 2nd and UC Berkeley 1st.

@wxfxzx How does that work? I heard Merced and Riverside are like the targets for that. I did qualify for ELC though.

@wxfxzx thats only for top 9% elc ppl right?

UC’s are pretty good for state colleges. I think it is because everything is so expensive for Cali, people want a good job.

What are your stats? @co2018nur

@wxfxzx Only if you’re the top 9% of your class. I checked.

D got in for Business Administration. U.C. gpa 4.1/ Sat 1480

Accepted for Biochemistry!!!
asian female, southern california area
4.0 GPA unweighted, 4.44 UC Capped GPA (4.67 without cap)
5.0 gpa during senior year and mid-year now
1380 SAT (kinda low, but i think my essays made up for it?)
lots of EC with 3 leadership positions
Pretty good essays?? (like 8/10 ish maybe?)

Also accepted into UCSD, UCLA, UCSB, and SDSU (rejected by none, waiting for Berkeley)!!
I’m so happy and relieved!

I got in and into aerospace  I take back everything bad I said about the Admissions office, you did great (only school I got into).

@NickGer bump @orionary . you might made a mistake on your application. my friend last year had an insanely attractive app but she got rejected everywhere bc she messed up her address and forgot to send in sat scores

So that post means that is a mix of acceptances/waitlists/rejections :frowning:

About to be 6, I just want closure :((

This is the only UC I applied to as a OOS. I got rejected by UCSD. I don’t think Cal states are worth it for OOS.

My son was admitted - political science. No CHP, top 5 %, 3.9 uw, 4.5 transcript weighted GPA, 1590 SAT, 9 AP/Honors/DE classes, decent ECs/work/volunteer experience. He was admitted to UCLA and UCSD.
