***UC Irvine Class of 2022 Applicants***

@naugrina when did you find out you got in?

@UCFreakKKK Last year they released acceptances on Thursday, Friday, and Monday, then waitlists on Tuesday. I checked last year’s thread.

Also my son got waitlisted last year with GPA 3.9 and ACT 28 for Political Science(in state),if it it helps.He declined the offer, so I am not sure if he would have gotten in if he accepted it. But I do not think so as UCI accepted way too many students last year.

@1010meha I found out yesterday afternoon and I’m from Washington

Burning question: does anyone know anything about UC’s financial aid? I hear they don’t provide any aid whatsoever, but my EFC number is relatively low. Not sure if that makes a difference after I heard that rumor.

has anyone heard for philosophy??

@naugrina: As an out of state student, you will be expected to pay full fees at $60K/year to attend. UC’s give good need-based FA to in-state CA students only. Did you run the Net Price calculator before applying? You are OOS so a low EFC will not make a difference.

@naugrina for UCSD my EFC was zero and they gave me everything in grants, and $9500 in loans/work-study. But I was offered a $10,000 scholarship from the university so full ride with a low efc.

just found out my s was accepted into the Engineering program

So has anyone gotten accepted for poly sci?

If anyone is interested, last year the acceptances were totally random according to the posts on CC. Not by majors, not by last names, not by stats, not by region, but remember not everyone is on CC. Hang in there!

@copperlinex2 was is your s’ major? Sounds like the same thing that happened to our son.

@UCImylastchance, thanks for the info. Hang in there and good luck to those waiting for nursing science.

Should I go to UCI for business admin or LMU to study entrepreneurship? which school is better?

@Gumbymom Aw! That really sucks :frowning: thanks for letting me know. There’s no way I can afford it so I’ll probably need to stay in state.

@coolgirl3 at 4?

What were your stats for biological sciences?

I haven’t gotten a decision yet
