***UC Irvine Class of 2022 Applicants***

@anxiousparent101 I just asked her why she thought she didn’t get into the nursing program, she said likely because she is an upper middle class white natural born citizen who hasn’t had a hard life or “traumatic” experience. 1420 SAT 4.5gpa

I don’t know what to say. Many of my classmates received their acceptance as early as yesterday afternoon. I, as patient as I could, waited for so long that I start to lose hope. I tried to be optimistic, I tried.
If UCI rejects me then just rejects me go ahead but why are you driving us crazy like this? Are you trying to ruin my entire weekend?

I’m also looking for a miracle acceptance as well. Was there anything on your application that shined out or could be seen as hooks? Awards? Essays? Volunteer? Geographical Location? Thanks. @kimmmberly123

@2tbonekids We warned our son that UC acceptances could be unpredictable for a white, middle class guy. We’ve been pleasantly surprised. Accepted to UCSB, UCSD, and UCI. Only rejected to UCLA and waitlisted by Cal Poly SLO. Very relieved it’s over! Best of luck to your daughter.

theres around 2000 nursing applicants and like 72 spots

@2tbonekids, hmm, that is an interesting reason, I really don’t know what to think. My D has decent grades, Weighted GPA 4.4, UC weighted and capped 4.14, ACT 31, no “traumatic” experience, natural born citizen, white. not sure about the class.
Applied for Nursing with Bio alternative. No updates on portal so far. Does it mean reject/waitlist?

@anxiousparent101 i applied for nursing with similar gpa of 4.3 but not born in America and became a citizen at age 4, and experienced brain surgery and all that, and alternate for bio. No notifications yet. They’re rolling admissions that are most likely acceptances till tuesday, while wednesday and thursday are possibly waitlist and rejections. Rolling admissions take 5 days.

@SemperAnticus, your friend heard back today?

i hate how little comunication there is from uci

We are in the same boat. DD is white middle class with two parents and no traumatic circumstances. She is in the top 2% of her class and her stats are actually above the average but, here we are, waiting and hoping.

cant they just say to that decsions will r will not be coming out over the weekend
…they dont care about other peoples time

it still says that they have received my application but all my peers got their decisions. when would i get mine? during the weekend or monday?

Really hoping I get into this UC
Rejected from UCD,SB,LA
Accepted UCR(Bio chem), UCSC (Pharmacological)
UW 3.3 W 3.4 idk my UC Gpa if it’s the same as cal state 3.69
SAT 1490
Pretty good EC’s and Good essays

Today she’s leaning towards Davis and going for a double. She’s already accepted for Biomedical Engineering and want to try and double into pharmacy science. After that she wants to go into the masters nursing program there.

I’m pretty sure the magic 8-Ball plays pretty heavily into UCI’s selection process.

do decisions roll out during the weekend?

I applied for political science did anyone get in yet??

has anyone got into computer Engineering

let’s all just calm down until monday

@marcovan
GPA: 3.75, class rank: 12
SAT: pretty low compared to the rest of these other students, but I made up with stronger essays
Did mock trial all 4 years and wrote about that being the foundation to my education career w/ CLS
Mentioned awards on districts + states level for mock trial
Community College GPA: 3.5 (I’m doing dual credits, still a freshman)
NHS/Phi Theta Kappa/Key club/Mock trial captain
and not sure if this was factored into my decision, but I mentioned that I will be graduating with an associates degree by June
