yo guys,
is today the only day CHP and regents came?
Or are they rolling?

also how they choose for honors and regents?
Lot of my friends got it with similar stats as me, but I have more leadership positions (student council, etc…)

I’m hearing a lot of sources saying: “it’s only today,” “it’s rolling until Friday,” “rolling until early March,” etc etc. Only two in my school got accepted today. One of them had low sat but high gpa but applied as social science major. The other had both high stats and applied as undeclared. Another smart student, however, with super high stats didn’t get any email. So, I would assume it has to be rolling cause uci cant miss those really high acheiveable students that live so close to its campus. Major might be a factor in this too.

ITs okay if you didn’t get accepted into the honor program. Most uci admitted students can apply for honors when they get there (and most gauranteed to be accepted anyways).

Is undeclared engineering a difficult major to get into for someone with middle 50% gpa.

My son received his notification of acceptance today. Biology major, in-state, 4.67/1540

Accepted! Biomedical Engineering w/ Regent’s Scholar and CHP. Congrats to everyone who got in and good luck to the rest!

@collegenerd365 The early decisions are not always on the UC websites. D was accepted to UCB and UCSB in Feb of 2014 well before her peers. In 2016, S received early acceptance to Irvine and Davis. He is currently attending UCLA. My current senior, class of 2018, has lower stats 3.88 uw, 4.2 capped weighted, 35 ACT and has not received any early notifications.

Sorry, I’m totally confused. So Regents and CHP are two different programs? You may receive CHP, but not Regents. But if you are Regents, you must have CHP. Is it right?

If I didn’t get uci honors, do i still have a shot at ucla?

Did the emails come out in the morning or evening after 3pm?

That is for those who received emails in the last couple days.

@gwilly

Uci and UCLA are both different schools. Just b/c you didn’t get honors at uci does not mean you will not get accepted to UCLA.

did anyone get in for nursing? I am on edge with the sub 5 % acceptance rate

Congratulations on your twins both being accepted! My twins graduating this June from different UC’s. So much easier if they were going to the same school! I’ve had to juggle each schools different accounting systems! I also have b/g twins. My twins were adament about going to different universities so they could become their own person. I agree its been great for them and when they meet up, its kinda sweet that you could tell they missed each other. Again, congratulations!

@koikat - mine are probably going to end up at different. We aren’t sure they realize what that will mean. They have had each other as buddies for 18 years. Going to be interesting.

@usma87 I am a twin and my sister and I are very adamant on going to the same school together. We both got CHP, but we are waiting for other colleges and to see where we’ll end up. I can’t imagine going to a different school than her after growing up together for 17 years.

@dogsarelife That’s awesome. I wish my twins felt that way! They didn’t have a single school in common in their application lists.

Son accepted yesterday (and CHP), electrical engineering, 4.0 UW, 1470 SAT, engineering classes / related activities / essays, SAT subject math = 790, physics = 750. Good luck everyone!
