Does anyone know if notification is rolling? I have a 4.3 and a 1550 but haven’t received anything from the UC’s yet (although I’ve been admitted to Michigan, Virginia, and NEU (merit scholarship).
I still haven’t heard anything back yet… in-state 4.36 uc gpa 1430 sat
@miikey17 i got into CS
@collegesavant1 Are you out of state? I have a feeling all these people that got accepted are in state.
@ivyforest I am in state, that’s the weird part
@collegenerd365 The people who have received acceptances so far to Cal, UCSB, or UCI were accepted early because they are being considered for or were selected as Regents Scholars, or they have been accepted to honors programs. Not all of the UCs have released their Regents decisions. I just called the UCI Undergraduate Admissions Office to verify that UCI is rolling admissions, and the nice woman confirmed that not all Regents and CHP acceptances have been released, and to wait patiently as the admissions office is working hard to make all the final decisions. For example, I got accepted to UC Berkeley 2 weeks ago because they named me a Regents Candidate and I now get to interview for the Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholarship. I heard these acceptances are used as a way to remind some applicants of the UCs amidst receiving decisions from other universities. Only those Cal considers to be in the top 1-2% of the applicant pool were accepted early, but the majority of decisions are yet to be released. This information is in fact on each school’s website but instead of being on the undergraduate admissions webpage, it seems it is on the scholarship or financial aid websites. For example, Cal has the information under the “Selection Process” tab on the Financial Aid and Scholarships website: http://financialaid.berkeley.edu/regents-and-chancellors-scholarship
If you didn’t happen to know about Regents or if you haven’t tracked this year’s / scoured previous years’ threads on College Confidential, one would probably have no idea UCs offer some early acceptances. So just know that these acceptances are real and that the information is on each UC’s website, just not exactly where you would expect it!
@ummsail What was your gpa and sat?

@collegenerd365 - I’m embarrassed to say that I don’t know how to do a screenshot of my daughter’s portal where it has the “Congratulations” banner and the CHP notification on the right side. However, she also got an email so I’ll try to cut and paste it below here (I removed the reference to her name for anonymity):
Congratulations! You have been selected to become a member of the Campuswide Honors Program (CHP) at the University of California, Irvine. Members of the faculty have chosen you for the honors program based upon your academic achievements and your potential to be successful as an honors student at UCI. To view your UCI and Campuswide Honors admission status, please log in to your MyAdmission account at admissions.uci.edu. Acceptance to the Campuswide Honors Program is contingent upon your admission to the university.
The Campuswide Honors Program provides an ideal learning environment for talented and motivated students like you. UCI ranks 9th nationally among public research universities and 4th in the nation in the New York Times “Upward Mobility Top 10” for the economic mobility of its graduates. From award-winning faculty to countless other advantages associated with a research university, students have many options at UCI. Serving 850 students from all majors, the CHP offers special academic opportunities combined with a supportive, engaged honors community, a combination that allows students to make the most of their time at UCI.
If you are the kind of student who is excited by learning and likes to challenge yourself, you will enjoy the rewarding academic experience offered by the CHP. The curriculum is designed especially for honors students, who choose their honors classes from a selection of core courses, small seminars, and an interdisciplinary track in sustainability. Students benefit from working closely with UCI’s world-class faculty, including engaging in research under the guidance of a professor.
Another major benefit of the CHP experience is the honors community, where students from many backgrounds and a wide variety of interests learn together, form study groups, and interact with other talented, highly-motivated students. CHP students receive honors academic advising, priority enrollment in courses, leadership development, and opportunities to network with CHP alumni. Our graduates are active in a wide variety of fields, attend some of the world’s most prestigious graduate and professional schools, and are leaders in their communities.
A great way to learn more about the Campuswide Honors Program is to join us for Honors Experience Day on the morning of Friday, March 9th where you will attend presentations, meet CHP students, staff, and faculty, and tour the campus and honors housing. Watch your email for a special invitation to Honors Experience Day, which includes a link for online registration.
Congratulations again on your impressive academic achievements. We hope to meet you on March 9th and to welcome you to UCI in the fall. In the meantime, please visit our prospective student website to learn more about the CHP!

Is it possible to get early admission as an education sciences major ? And if so wouldn’t it be a lot easier since not many high stat applicant apply to this major ? Please help me out, thanks !!
@Nimanosa1873 I got early admission with honors program and I’m applying as engineering
I got it as undeclared-SS. I’m not sure if that made it easier or harder though. But I’m flattered to have been selected for CHP
@collegenerd365 I’m not sure how to add a screenshot but if you want me to send it a different way I can. I recently got accepted to uci today. And I got accepted by UCSB three days ago. So it’s kinda new. I just got an email saying your status has been updated so I signed in and it said you have been admitted to UC Irvine and then I got another email saying you’ve been accepted into the honors program. Same thing with UCSB
@JessicaF yes I am in-state and THANK YOU
@person2000 may I ask what are your stats?
@Coopy1 4.41 weighted. 1490 SAT. I’m 15/~590
I’m a Biomedical Engineering major and I just got accepted into the Honors College too. The notification for honors college came in a separate email at a later time, but on the same day as my acceptance.
I am instate. I know engineering is competitive, so if anyone would like, you can message me for my stats. Best of luck to you all.
D received email to check portal. Accepted. Vocal performance major. In-state. Stats not particularly relevant as program is audition based. She is not a candidate for Regent or Honors. So some arts/performance based majors may be receiving their decisions soon too.
Accepted! Piano performance/ honors OOS! Congratulations and good luck to all.
