I’ve finished calc 3a and 3b. I’ve also taken extra courses like finished ochem and bio 97. I’m hoping those courses could make up for this darn math class.
But thank you for mentioning the site, I’ll be sure to tell the uci counselor about that as well Monday.
I think you should be fine. I got accepted to UCSB for Psychology and I had all my pre-major classes done except a calc course. They accepted me anyways.
Ucsc emailed my friend asking her to take math 4a that she was missing so they could accept her. I’m kinda of hoping that “missing” this class isn’t a deal breaker for uci because they didn’t email me like that.
Also I have a 3.5
My friends just got their acceptances . Should I be worried xD they were bio majors
@AlexNeeeeewin they just got their acceptances today?
^ No, considering most people are saying decisions won’t be out until next week.
@Chevronn you’re fine! don’t worry, you will get in !
@ShuttlepilotND @jzonnn @StoneTower yeah from uci she got it on monday maybe its coming out in waves really slowly?
@AlexNeeeeewin was it regents?
@shch7898 i didn’t ask would that make a difference?
It’s absolutely ridiculous that UCI hasn’t released my aid package. They released my admission status two months ago. I’m not even going here but it’d be nice to see what they were offering me. Plus, holding off on aid packages while other schools have released theirs is just pushing students away. L-)
@AlexNeeeeewin yes it would, regents are notified earlier.
@LuckyName UCI does release their packages late, i think after they are done sending out admissions? Did you call them ?
@LuckyName Wow, congrats on UCLA !
Does anyone know if the Computer Science and Engineering major is easier/harder to get into than Computer Engineering?
@shch7898 ok i will ask her
@Chevronn
So stats is a “required” course but depending on your specific situation they may let it slide. You definitely should let them know ASAP that you will be taking it over the summer. I applied for public health policy and I talked to the counselor they said if it’s a supplemental course (like biology) then it is ok to take it over the summer going into fall 2015. Unfortunately I do have a friend who was admitted but then had her admission revoked during the summer because she was taking a math class over the summer that was “required”.
UCI admission decisions are really slow. It’s bad enough that UC transfer decision are relatively late to begin with.
