Uc Irvine Point System

I understand the UC schools except Berkeley/LA use a point system to decide their admissions. UCSD and UCSC have released this information publicly but I was wondering if anyone had any info on Irvine's system. What I am most interested in is the cutoff and points assigned to SAT + SAT 2's. UCSD multiplies theirs by .8 and UCSC divides theirs by 2 after adding the highest individual score, so I have to assume every UC calculates a little bit differently. Obviously the factors they consider are :

1) GPA
2) SATs
3) Community Service (150 points >100 hours, 300 points > 200 hours; can anyone verify)
4) Leadership (i heard you had to have two positions P or VP for at least two years; can anyone verify?)
5) First Generation
6) Income (<60K per year)
7) Personal Challenge (how many points would a death of grandmother that had lived with you count?)
8) Educational Environment (rural area benefits)
+anything else I forgot.

Please don't redirect me to another college confidential link (I have read them all) or the school's website (they aren't specific). What I would like to know is information directly from a school, someone who has had the info verified by a counselor/someone in the know, or someone who has called the school personally or something along those lines. Saying what you think is fine and general discussion about the point systems in general is also welcome but please no, "Go to their website" or "Here :'link to 'cc page three years old'". Thanks.

I think they also consider your school ranking

actually, three UC’s use “comprehensive review” (a more holistic selection process) for admission: Berkeley, UCLA and Irvine. All the others, I believe, use a point system.

[UCI Comprehensive Review and Information on Appeals](http://www.admissions.uci.edu/admissions_info/not_admitted.html)

Crazyman7: I believe they use the term “Educational Environment” for that, thank you I will add it to the list.

Sndebrosse: I have heard otherwise but no way to prove my source is better than yours so if that is the case then…■■■. haha

just wait and see if u get in… knowing the point system now wont help u at all. i know ur anxious about it but u cant do anything now.
Besides theyre likely changing the established point system because they are decreasing the amount of admits again… knowing previous year’s wont help.
sorry to sound like a downer

I thought SD and Davis were the only ones to use a point system?!

I feel foolish
