okay so im considering medical school. OMG. just the idea frightens me somewhat.

anyways i am applying to UC this year (as i have said a million times, lmfao) and i was just wondering if anyone knows the best route to get to medical school.

my major is poly sci (non trad on purpose) and i plan on having a 3.5 by the time i apply to UC and once that goes, which GPA will medical school look at? my overall from CC - the end of UC? or just my UC GPA? I am seriously on studying my life out in UC and trying to get a 4.0, no less than a 3.6 - if YHWH allows me to.

does anyone know anything about the year post bacc program at UC?

im sorry for the confusing questions, i can clear up any wrongly worded questions.

You apply to medical schools in the U.S. through AMCAAS which will ask for a transcript of every course you have ever taken since high school and will use all of your grades to calculate your official cummulative overall and Science GPAs which they will send, along with a transcript that they prepare on the basis of what you submit, to each of the medical schools you apply to.

*** my highschool gpa is incorporated into my college gpa?

I dont think that your high school gpa is calculated in. What I am sure is that they look at your UC and community college grades!

Wait I thought you wanted to go to dental school? O.o

■■■■■ i know, im having new developments. just trying to figure out the length of time and if its worth it.

As long as you have a stable career by the time you are 35 go for whatever you want.
