<p>Hello guys, I just saw that 31% students majored in Bio in UC Merced, but they only got 1 general BIO major? Is UC Merced's bio programs any good if im consider to going into biochem/ Cellular researching grad schools after college?</p>
<p>Kinda late but UC Merced gives degrees in Biological Sciences with multiple emphases Molecular and Cell, Human, Ecology and evolutionary,Developmental, and Microbiology and Immunology and if interested more in biochem there is biological chemistry emphasis in the chem major. Im getting my BS in Biology with Human emphasis and have got accepted to a molecular biophysics ph.d program at Florida State and interviewing for a biochem ph.d at CU Boulder.</p>
<p>To DreWa1C: I got accepted into UCM for Spring 2012 as a Human bio emphasis as well. I’m wondering what kind of grades and/or test scores you have to get in order to get accepted into a medical school or a PhD program coming from UCM? Btw congrats on your acceptance :)</p>
