@ NewSocio Oh yeah like 3 D’s all in math
@NewSocio the repeats were mostly in GE classes. I DID have to retake intermediate algebra once as well.
@CancelOut Ya I also had to redo my intermediate algebra. That and Japanese.
Gosh! I’m so nervous! It’s now March 4th and I haven’t heard anything.
I applied for Mechanical Engineering and Bioengineering alt.
I managed to get into Cal Poly San Luis Obispo but, am weighing my options with this school.
@newsocio Just to throw mine in with the pool - I have 10 (?) W’s and 1 F (non major and non IGETC, but it’s there).
@kristyalene 10 W’s? LOL ugh but you tagged
I called and found out that the bulks of admissions have no fixed time. They’re released at random.
Accepted w/ TAG agreement

@CeasarAnthony I haven’t seen any engineering acceptances yet. Hang in there. I’m chem-e
2 of my friends received the acceptance yesterday. 1 is electrical engineering and the other is bioengineering. I’m chemical engineering and I’ve not received anything yet
@cancelout I know. It’s ridiculous, but circumstances where I had to drop out of all my classes halfway through for 2 semesters. (I keep forgetting that TAG meant they weren’t looked at, oops.)
I haven’t heard anything yet. But here are my stats
Sociology major
GPA 3.2
TAG agreement
IGET - Done
Prereqs - Done
I didn’t realize how many sociology applicants there are… Is the major impacted at UCR? Or, is there just a huge increase in soc applicants this year?
Sociology is an incredibly flexible major that can get you into a lot of fields if you combine it with a specific minor, certificate, or second major. I found out that if I had a certificate in Programming with Sociology, I can enter IT as Security Analyst or something similar. However, I would still be paid less than those who have a degree in Computer Science. Another example is combining it with something in business could get you into marketing.
I checked the SIR tab in GROWL it says “Submitting a Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) is available to newly admitted students. According to our records, you are not currently eligible to submit a SIR” does that mean I got declined or simply the decision is pending?
@Xenomorph SIR is only available if you got accepted. So, unless you were told you were rejected, the decision is still pending.
I have transcript request under my documents tab, doed anyone know what that means please?
I received my official acceptance yesterday as an Electrical Engineer major
@sallyyouna only alert I have is reminder to SIR.
@Funsizee08 doesnt that mean you got accepted? I am sorry i could be wrong
