UC Riverside 2015 Transfer Thread

I don’t understand why I would be one of the last people to receive an admission decision if I have TAG? I thought that people who have TAG are the first ones to have their application reviewed?

I have TAG too and I haven’t heard anything. Half my units are from out of state though.

Not necessarily. When did you submit your TAU? They will start looking after TAU is submitted. If you did your TAU late, you would have delayed it. And it is random. They might have more results but are staggering them.

@MatthewE310‌ I had TAG too, and I just received my admission decision.

My TAU was submitted January 7th

Accepted 04/02

Major: Philosophy
GPA: 3.44
IGETC: Yes, in the spring
Pre Reqs: all done
TAG: No
Applied: UCSC, UCD, UCB, UCLA, UCR, UCB
Accepted: UCSC,UCR
Rejected: None yet

@lindyk8 I submitted my transfer academic update on January 20th. But I submitted a second transfer academic update on March because I wanted to update the grade that I received from a class that I finished during Winter session. Are you suggesting that this has something to do with the time that my application is being reviewed?

Are there any people who are Business Administration majors who were accepted with a gpa below 3.32? If so then I could be more optimistic about my chances of getting accepted.

@matthew310, I know davis has said Re TAG that they will start looking the minute TAUs are updated and it would make sense across the board. You had a second update after TAU and for whatever reason they asked to see your transcript. So your road wasn’t totally straight. That does not mean anything. As I said earlier, they may have already decided but aren’t releasing all at once. All you can do is wait.

Just got admitted this morning!! between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Major: Computer Science (This was my alternate major. My fist choice major was CoE but I was missing two prereqs. That’s the only reason I think I got admitted to my second choice)
GPA: 3.6
Major GPA: 3.85
IGETC: Missing one
Pre-Reqs: All done for Computer Science
TAG: No
Applied: UCI, UCR, UCSD, UCSB, UCLA, UCB
Accepted: UCR
Pending: UCI, UCSD, UCSB, UCLA, UCB

Even though I got accepted to my second choice major I feel very happy about being accepted. Good luck to everyone!!

Congratulations @gac146

My application is still pending, but I received an email this morning that said my financial aid award is available to view. It’s telling me to log into my Growl to view, but I don’t have the spotlight they’re referring to! Is this a good sign?

I’m very nervous

@p0o912‌ My friend had the same issue
You have to link your uc app click on one of the tabs

@Pcclancer26 Thank you! I linked my application and now it says I’ve been admitted!

Major: Mathematics
GPA: 3.11
TAG: no
IGETC: complete
100% of prereqs completed

I just received my admission decision this morning. But they admitted me as a pre-business major into the college of humanities and social science. I dont exactly remember the message, but I think that it says that I’m admitted as a pre-business major because my gpa isn’t high enough to be enrolled into the school of business administration, even though I have TAG and a 3.32 gpa. I’m happy about being admitted, but I’m still very confused about why they did this. I’m wondering how are they able to admit me as a pre-business major if I’m completing all of my pre-business and IGETC classes before I transfer? When I transfer I won’t have anymore pre-business classes to complete.

ACCEPTED!!! FINALLY!

Major: Microbiology
GPA: 3.05
TAG: no
IGETC: completed

Seriously, how have me and other people have not been accepted yet?! It’s April 8th! Highlander Day is in 10 days and I want to know if I’m accepted before I RSVP the event!

I haven’t heard either… I am getting so impatient and disillusioned by the entire thing…

Still pending as well, its driving me nuts. I think I’m just going to go ahead and start sending in my transcripts to SDSU

I have a question regarding the provisions of admission. I just found out I was accepted to UCR for Cell Bio. I have 90 transferable units and all of my lower division major requirements completed.

On my UC application, I planned to take three classes this spring semester that were not needed for my major, nor necessary for transfer to a UC; I took these classes to be eligible for transfer to a CSU. Does anyone know if I still have to complete these classes to remain eligible for admission? As I said, without these classes I have more than met the requirements for transfer.
