I know the administration send out decisions randomly but when they send out decisions to waitlisted applicants do they do it random as in any major or random as in it doesn’t matter your stats and where you fall on the waitlist ranking?
Hey guys, I just emailed the admission office 5 min ago to ask about instate waitlist status, and I receive a email say due to high volume of message, they will reply in 5-7 business day, so I guess lets wait until to June, or can someone just call them to ask when they release the all waitlist student or when they would stop taking watlist student
Sorry wrong thread guys, but I also email them (not sure when they will response), and I would keep posting up any news and their response.
They responsed
Please continue to check your MyUCR account for the most up-to-date information on your waitlist status. As soon as a decision is made, you will be informed through the MyUCR portal.
Thank you so much,
Undergraduate Admissions
Anyone get any updates in their portal? or know when the next batch of admissions are coming out?
Nope. haven’t received any updates regarding admission. Really hoping for the next batch to come soon.
Any Portal updates or email response from UCR?
@ARMON Nope still nothing
Did any of the science wait list come out for UCR? I still haven’t haven’t gotten it yet.
Bio and Neurosciences
so no one heard from biochem yet?
Its the 28th and I’m getting really worried about if they will send out more acceptances. Do you guys think they will send out anymore bio ones?
@Brilovesbananas I have a feeling this is it for those who haven’t gotten off the waitlist. I called them and they said wait until the beginning of June…but this is what happened back in March when UCR waited until the end to notify people they were denied…oh well
@Lilybee00 Noo really? so all of the ones that werent accepted by now last year were denied?
See my latest comment on the main UCR thread… I have a feeling waitlist results come out later this week!
Ok, whatever, I’ll just paste it here:
I have a feeling waitlist results will come out tomorrow/later this week!
So @tekgeek9 as some of you may already know, is currently waitlisted.
Her main portal says that she is still on the waitlist, even now.
Previously (before tonight), her financial aid page said she would only be able to accept her financial aid offer if admitted off the waitlist.
Despite her portal still saying she is still waitlisted, she now has the ability to accept her financial aid offer.

This might mean something good for us waitlisted bois. Maybe the next wave of waitlists come out this week. They couldn’t have come out today because it memorial day and the admissions office is closed, but I have a strong feeling about it coming out later this week now!
@tekgeek9 will be calling up the admissions office tomorrow and either she - or I (if she is unable to post here) - will let you know what they say.
But I’m feeling like I have more hope now!
I submitted my FAFSA really late (May 5th I think - UCR didn’t even receive my FAFSA until May 15) so I am yet to receive any financial offer of my own to see if this is simply a glitch on her side or something serious.
However, if any of you are waitlisted and got some aid offer, check your finaid page and see if you’re able to accept the offer!
I have also tweeted about this to them and will let you all know if they respond with any updates.
@vinashana I just check my ucr web, and I’m able to accept my financial aid offer, but wasn’t that we can accept the financial aid offer since the the beginning when we got our financial aid offer?
@Kawai007 If I remember correctly, @tekgeek9 was unable to accept her aid offer until now. Were you able to accept the offer earlier or is this the first time you checked?
My thinking is that colleges wouldn’t allow students to accept financial aid unless they had matriculated - or were at least accepted because there would be no point in giving aid to a student who didn’t have a chance at attending. But that is just my rationale.
ok wait im confused so I checked my financial aid packet before and i didnt get that much money but then i checked it again yesterday and I got way way more money like pretty much fully paid for and i accepted it but it still says im on the waitlist and it says my housing option is off campus. Is this a good thing? Also if i do get in does that mean i would have to dorm off campus?
