First acceptance after 2 waitlists and two deferrals!! UW 3.98 11 APs, lots of EC and captain of Lacrosse club team—OOS first choice Marine Sciences and sure about weighted but very high. OOS first choice Marine Sciences and Biology program.
130,000 applications and only 6,600 spaces available
6,600 spots available, not the amount of students accepted.
Out letter says 150,000 applicants!
waitlisted in-state for CS, 3.9/4.2 GPA with weak ECs
Wishing everyone else the best!
Schools accept more students than spots usually 3-5x as many so that is their target Freshman class.
Accepted 2nd choice major, electrical engineering and marshall college. 3.95UW, 4.29 weighted and capped, 4.46 weighted and uncapped. really happy about this one
According to the UCOP they had a little over 131,000 Freshman applicants, the rest are probably transfers.
Accepted DS at 6th College.
4.00 UW and 4.42 W Capped, 4.8 W Uncapped
then also it is 12-22% as compared with 34% in 2021!!

D22 Waitlisted (Biomedical Eng)
UW:4.0, W:4.67, WC:4.31, 10 APs, NMF, Good ECs with multiple leaderships, Volunteering etc.
Not sure what she could have done differently.
Since UCSD admits to university first and then looks at major, the WL are all undeclared or unknown major right?
D accepted to Global Health (pre med).
UW: 3.96
W (uncapped): 4.48
I don’t think so in the context of a WL. If you applied for an impacted major, they are not going to put you on a WL for undeclared. That would make it impossible to manage the WL.
On the other hand, if you apply for an impacted major, and you didn’t make it to that major they may give you the undeclared offer.
S accepted as undeclared
In-state, applied for CS and CE (both capped)
3.95/4.6
Anyone has insights?
What does it mean by ‘accepted but not to either major’? Thanks!
