Congratulations!

Any other Regents scholars out there?

The usual provisional admission contract states 3.0 weighted GPA Senior year, no D’s or F’s. It should be spelled out in your acceptance what is expected.

S accepted Mech Eng, Robotics, Sixth college. Local (north county SD). 3.91 unweighted, 7 yrs of math (block schedule), 2 CS dual enrollment courses, 5s on both AP CS tests. There were 150k applicants this year. So many smart and qualified young adults denied. The UCs are insanely competitive! Congrats to those who were admitted and for all of you who did not get in, you WILL find your perfect fit!

Yes. Never mind my question. He got Revelle (second choice).

Thanks a lot, and congrats to your son. Also, is it true that each college has its own core course requirements? Someone said Revelle has a compulsory Language requirement hence checking.

I did, 15 mins after the decision was out

Here are the graduation requirements for each of the UCSD colleges. Yes, Revelle has a foreign language requirement.

Is there any hope for an OOS accepted student to get any type of merit or need based scholarship at this point? Or is it pretty much whatever your fin aid award letter says at this point it’s done?

UC’s offer no need based aid for OOS applicants except Federal if eligible. Merit aid is rare and should be listed in your FA. OOS students should expect to pay full fees.

Is there a possibility to change the college you were accepted into? Like from Revelle to Muir, or Muir to 6th, etc. Just curious.

Changing Colleges is extremely difficult. You have to show that by staying in your current College, it will take longer to graduate (by 2 quarters).

Here is the link to see if you are eligible: Inter-College Transfer (ICT) Steps

Thanks Gumbymom. You’re the best.
