UC Santa Barbara vs University of Maryland College Park Computer Science

My son has got admission in few schools for undergraduate Computer Science.
We have short-listed UC Santa Barbara and University of Maryland College Park.
To help us in completing registration in one University, please guide us which one may be better for career prospect (internship / job prospect etc)
My son will come from India though he is holding a Green Card, which we received recently.
Your kind help will be highly appreciated.

UMD-CP would be my preference.

UMD CS is better-known/regarded.

Either school is fine. If it was me, I’d go to UCSB, although that’s because I like the west coast more than the east coast.

UCSB may be slightly better intern and job prospectives
Both schools have equivalent ranking and pedigree in computer science.

But a good CS student should have opportunities regardless.

The engineering school at UMCP is much larger- 4,000 vs 1,400 students. 2,000 of those students are in CS at UMCP vs. under 400 at UCSB. Some want big; some prefer a more intimate department. Despite the much smaller size, UCSB has more than double the research dollars flowing into the CS department. UCSB also has a much lower student-teacher ratio for CS.
