yeah…therealist does win, the first link was cool, my cc only had 8 students transferring to Cal!

I wish it showed how many ppl applied

it does show that. it shows both, just not at the same time, so open both up in different tabs and you can calculate admit rate for any major at cal for any year 2008 or before. pretty nifty.

where does it show how many applied and to where?

Here’s a mini tutorial:

Click here:https://osr2.berkeley.edu/cgi-bin/Access/DB/Frontends/runapp.pl

Then open the same link in another window.

In the first instance of the same link, select admits on the left hand side and on the right hand side select whichever year you are looking for (probably 2008 as its themost recent).

In the second instance of the link select all applicants on the left, and the same year on the right.

Now on the next page click “Applicants by intended college by intended major” under “Intended Discipline” and "“Admits by intended college by intended major” in the other tab.

Now you can find your major in the table, find the applicants last year, find the admits, and calculate the acceptance rate. (Scroll down to the last table that is specifically for ccc transfers)

Wow a total of 11 people from my CC got into san diego last year…

cr, that doens’t tell you how many students from your CCC applied.

i think our frustration was that the other site shows how many students from each particular CCC were admitted to which ever school, but that it doesn’t show how many students from any given CCC applied.

oh i see. nevermind, i misunderstood your problem. :(

i think people are misinterpreting the information. The information on the pathways probably shows how many people chose to enroll from their community college to their transfer institution. It does not mean that having less students for one UC means there were not more acceptances. Also, you need to consider that some of this data might not be fully updated as there are errors and are updates in links around the website that some community colleges haven’t fully addressed by giving their statistical information accurately

you’ve got it all figured out, don’t you…

This is a really good thread… these links help a lot when you want to know where you have a realistic chance of getting in. There is also a page on UCLA’s site on which you can see admit rates and average GPA for transfer students based on major and based on the applicant’s community college. I’ll post it if I can find it… does anyone have it?

the link you’re talking about should be one of the first ones someone gave
