From my local CC I have completed 43 units and am currently enrolled in 18 units for the spring 2019 semester to hit that 60 mark for TAG. Somehow there was an oversight and the counselor and I didn’t realize one math course wasn’t UC transferable. My overall units will be over 60 but will that course not count towards the 60? If not I will have 58 units for UC transfer. Are there exceptions to the TAG rules where this is accepted? I have already had my tag application approved, so I am assuming the UC system checked it or something?
You need to add 2 units. Add 2 P.E. courses. They probably did not check the transferability.
Am I allowed to have 20 units in spring? I thought it said somewhere you cant have more than 18 in the spring before transfer.
Some TAGs do have that rule. Not sure if all do. Why not grab 2 units in a winter intersession online. Http://cvc.edu
What’s the course number that’s not transferable and what CCC?
Also here’s a 2017 winter intersession college list:
https://www.sbcc.net/transferacademy/Winter%202017%20Intersession%20List.pdf
only transferable units count towards the 60. The rest is just for fun.
If possible, you should contact the campus you want to tag to and see if you can make an arrangement to fulfill those 2 units during the summer. If not, then it’s looking bad for you. I applied as regular transfer with 59 units and was denied last year. I don’t think they’re any more lenient with tag unfortunately
It’s unlikely the units can be made up in summer FWIW.
can you take an online class at another CCC between now and May?
do you have AP credits by any chance that can be applied where you got a 3+?
