Hi,

Is there anyone that's transferred from one UC to another within one year? I would like some advice. I'm attending UCR this fall and want to transfer to UCSD UCLA or UC Berkeley within 1 year.

I have already thought about CCC and decided it wasn't the right fit for me.

My high school stats were average 3.8 GPA 30 ACT but stellar extra-circulars. I wasn't accepted to many UCs because I wanted to become a doctor before and I think my essays made it seem like I liked finance more.

Any advice? I'm a business econ major and I'm open to transferring to other business schools within California (but within 1 year) like USC, SDSU or Pepperdine.

Also does anyone know if there's any transfer agreements with other schools from UCR?

Thanks for your time and advice!! It really means a lot!

Hi there! I transferred from UC to UC, but it took me two years. I wouldn’t recommend doing it in one year just because I wouldn’t want your GPA to suffer, but I’m not the best student. So if ya think you can handle a lot of classes at once and still get a high GPA, then go for it. As long as you have 60 credits and most of the pre reqs done (with a good GPA), you should have a fair chance.

I’m not sure about Berkeley or UCSD, but for UCLA you’ll be admitted as a pre major if you apply for econ (not 100% sure, but pretty sure). I would suggest maybe applying for a non impacted major and then declaring econ later. Once you’re admitted to UCLA and long as you have the pre reqs completed, they can’t really tell you that you can’t have the major you’re paying for, ya know? That definitely doesn’t hold true for some majors, like the design and media major for example (need portfolio blah blah), for which you’re not allowed to just fill out a form and become/petition for that major.
