allie is SD your first choice and do you know if it's a good school (well compared to UCI)

Are there any Law and society applicants on the board, and if so, have you heard from admissions?

No, SD is my second choice/safety. But yes, it's a very good school.

While Irvine is an awesome school, especially for the sciences, I think SD ranks slightly above it. Its also less of a commuter school (truly..Irvine is very much like a community college. I use their library often and the school is almost always deserted, even during normal school hours). Honestly though, you would have a pretty equal chance of getting into grad school or getting a job with a degree from either campus.

I would also have applied to Irvine if A)they had my major, and B) it wasn't literally 15 minutes away from home.

My first choice is UCLA.

I also want to know. NOW!!!!

and yes! San Diego is much better than Irvine in Psychology :)

thanks guys

allie, I have a lot of friends who commute to UCI because we live about 20-25 minutes away and they absolutely HATE the commute on the 405 freeway. Classes are only 45 minutes long, but the commute is 30 mins there, 30 mins back and 30 minutes walking to class! I have another friend who goes to UCI Medical School and lives in an apartment across the street from the campus and he loves it! They study hard and party hard.
In my opinion, UCI is a great school if you live on campus instead of commuting. That probably applies to most schools.

i don't know i am in between UCI and UCSD. some people say UCI is has a better psych program some say UCSD. i am confused

i'd go to SD,
i've been told it has a better psych program and also a much better campus!

Thanks Ely_113 But Sd Doensn't Have Transfer On Campus Housing Right?

admission officers love to torture us students :( I too, want to know if I got into UC San diego as a backup school. Check their site every freaking day but nope...nothing. At this pace, i wouldnt be surprised if they tell us April 29th, but then it woudlnt matter cuz thats when berkeley lets us know...argh!

i dont know if they have campus housing for transfer students....

I was looking at the UC websites, and the deadline for submitting financial aid papers is on may 1st!

have any of you submitted any papers??? dont we have to wait until we are admitted?

no news...still pending

UCR requires copies of my parents taxes by May 2nd and UCLA decisions probably won't even be posted by then! I think it's horrible how these schools lag big time!
On the letter, however, it says that "funding won't be guaranteed if submitted after May 2nd deadline."
U can still turn in your papers but they can't promise anything.

I was wondering if you can turn in the tax papers to every school you're accepted to by May 1st to guarantee funding?

what if we dont hear from the UCs yet? what should we do? :(

Hey guys, 4 more posts till 500 !!!
Let us go up till 800 posts (at least) to show the degree of our painfull wait !

If you've yet to hear...

Keep waiting.

Hey I called UCDavis today and they said that they were trying to get all decisions out by Friday. Cheers.

Stilling pending LA,SD, and CAL

sorry i just had to get the 500th post!!!!!
