thanks pianoqueen

well judging by all the qualified people who got rejected and me being less qualified than them i assume i will be rejected too. Too all of you fellow rejectee's life sucks. if you had half a brain in your head like i did, you applied to your fall back school and got in. THANK GOD FOR UC SANTA CRUZ

Who cares about what rank it is? If a person gets a good vibe about a school then they should apply! To each his own. I'm a huge fan of UCLA but I don't want to go there just because it ranks high.

Ely. you have to appeal. you have to. there will be people rejecting their offer after the application process is complete. there are many people less qualified than you are that got in. im sure they made a mistake!

sorry to be posting this everywhere, but i was just wondering if the UC's were accepting all one day and rejecting on another? or has the trend been random? i'm still waiting to hear from ucsd...it's not lookin good though if nobody has been rejected...i'll be the first, fantastic :(

it seems that they do aceptance one day and rejection one day, having personally experienced that.

sorry to pry...but was that for a particular school or all of them?

so far only a particular school has done this, for UCSD i couldn't said because someone SEEMS to be rejected.

i only know two people who got in on monday, one with a lower gpa than me and one with a higher gpa, i'm just confused as to why i have to wait so long, probably next friday right?

cbkb what are your stats and major, if you dont mind me asking

Damn, looks like I will get rejected from UCSD...they dare not...i have a damn good gpa for that major...

Im hoping for the best....

i was looking at ucla's list of majors and i noticed it looked different cause some majors have numbers next to them. before, majors had astericks to note that they were impacted. anyways, i'm a psych major so i was surprised to see that it only had a 2 next to it, and it wasn't denoted as an impacted major anymore.

indie_boy what are your stats?

3.52 gpa from UCSC, trying to transfer to UCSD, UCLA, or UCB. I'm an MCD bio major (molecular cell and developmental biology major). I've completed all my lower div requirements for my major and some uppers

ne word on UCI engineering majors?
acepts & rejects?

they're taking their sweet fu.ckin time

I'm applying to UCB as EECS, UCLA, UCSD, and UCI as CE or ECE.

GPA is ~3.8, All A's in Math, Physics, and CS. B's in English. Math classes include 3 Calc's, Diff. Eq, and Discrete Math. Entire Physics series complete. Two Gen. Chem's. CS classes include C++ and Data Structures.

Not that many EC's, member of AGS and PTK. Work and volunteer experience related to major. Personal statement was pretty compelling I think.

No admission results yet! I'm stressing out! Seems like everyone that's a EE/CS/CE/etc major hasn't received any news from the UCB, UCLA, UCSD, or UCI.

I called UCSD and they said they didn't admit under major. I don't know what's going on...:( I know people with 3.2's and 3.3's who got in as bio majors though.

cbkb03, my stats:

Major - EECS/CS
GPA - Current (3.92) WIP Time (3.8)
Major classes - All math, physics, CS classes. 3 quaters of english. Few GE classes.

mor We have almost the same stats including the classes taken and GPA. I also haven't heard from those colleges.
mor and indie_boy, are you both transferring from other UC's or from CC?

CC->De Anza

CC: Citrus College (primary), Pasadena City College and Fullerton College (a few classes).
