This shouldn’t really be a surprise at all. Really, what difference does a class of 500 make vs. 150? A few students are still going to be the ones who actually go to office hours and/or raise their hands in class, while everyone else learns freshman chemistry like several thousand do every semester at all large universities.

And larger class sizes are a big reality now - available spots in classes/some courses entirely are being cut, that’s what happens when you have a university that’s over enrolled and underfunded. Berkeley was by far the biggest walkout since we’ve had weeks of everyone hearing about and seeing firsthand the consequences of the Regents’ actions. This gives a decent idea of what several thousand ****ed off students, workers, faculty, and professors looked like: [YouTube - UC Berkeley Walk Out Rally](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APuKukByoQA)
