When I write my personal statement in order to apply for UK unis through UCAS, I am anxious about English in UK style is more preferebly seen than that in US style.
Actually, I am much more familiar to US English than UK English.
So, let me know whether Personal Statement in US English is disadvantageously seen by admission tutors.
Do you mean spelling?
@Sybylla
Yes.
For example, color/colour, organize/organise.
You can do either- but you must be consistent.
If you are asking for advice, I would go with UK spellings (set your spell check to UK English). Tbh, though, it will be obvious by your grammar that English- either version- is not your first language.
Actually -ize endings are standard in UK English too, but are seen as weirdly quaint/dated/formal.
I don’t think it matters. Everybody knows that US English is the norm in a lot of foreign countries.
