"btw, it seems like haas accepted more students this year. lots people around me have gotten accepted, and some of them had little volunteering and ECs"

I agree. I found some people who didn't speak any english and were very quiet in and out of class to have gotten in. Not that i'm bashing non english speaking people but...i don't know, i would expect him to be more active, outspoken and sociable...but whatever. So far I know of 7 people at De Anza including myself that have gotten in. Seems like a lot but we sent 10 people last year, which was the most out of any Jc.

we should start our own co-op. I have no idea what to do about the housing issue. Does anyone know what the dorms are like? What about the apartments?

I'm waiting anxiously to get added into the CalNet directory so I can jump on facebook and message my old HS friends that went to Berkeley...Look where my HS 2.5 got meeee

The transfer dorms are pretty nice but very expensive. The apartments can be ****ty to very nice depending on how much you're willing to shell out.

mschop,
exactly, it used to be that only the most active students on campus would get accepted. i just found out that a friend of my friend has gotten accepted as well.. and he's not involved at schoo at all. and he doesn't have any ecs either.. and he cheats all the time..

I'm not sure yet Will. I kinda want to live in the dorms, but only if there aren't a whole lot of rules. I'm too old for that s**t. As lazy as it sounds, I'm tired of taking care of myself. I just want to have fun and not deal with paying utilities or cooking or landlords or commuting or broken garbage disposals. I've been doing that stuff since I was 16 and I kinda want a break from it before I graduate and step into the "real" world. On the other hand, an apartment close to campus would be nice too, I do like my queen sized bed and the ability to smoke and drink in my own room. Jesus, there are so many decisions to be made!

I'm in the same dillema. I would love transfer dorms but I don't want to be treated like some little kid and I would prefer privacy. GEtting an apt would be kewl as well but only if it's clsoe to campus.

Ok guys..I'm GOING TO BERKELEY!!! I just submitted my SIR..

Hopefully, I do not have any regrets. I feel as though this is the best decision for me personally. So, my goal in two years??? UCLA law school... :)

I mean, ultimately, I want to be in LA. However, I would rather go to graduate school at ucla than undergrad. I live in socal now..and yes, I do want a change...i think cal will be a big adventure for me and I'm actually sooo unbelievable excited about it!!

No, I haven't been to Berkeley yet...I plan on flying there in a few weeks.

As far as being "socal" I would say I'm not your typcial orange county girl. Though I may look the part, tall/blonde/tan, I am actually very down to earth and pretty liberal. Even though I always told myself I would go to ucla, once I was accepted at Berkeley..something just changed inside me. I feel like going to Cal would be such the college experience and I just couldn't see myself turning it down because it might be a little different from what I'm used to...ya know?

I guess only time will tell if I made the right decision..as of right now..I'm very very happy :)

Reminds me of a tall, tan, blonde girl at my CC who could really have model looks and a model figure. The problem is that she's -at least- 6'5 and that's just huge. You're not that tall are you? :o
