Thanks in advance for all of the help.
As a high school senior who’s about to graduate, my top two choices for college are UCLA for CS and UC Berkeley for EECS. However, I can’t decide for my life on which of the two I should attend. The primary feedback I’ve gotten is that UCLA > UCB for everything except the CS program.
My main emphasis is on CS; I plan to be in somewhere software related (hopefully video game designing) when I finish college. So yeah, within Berkeley’s EECS, I plan on CSE for upper division classes. As for my social life, I don’t plan on studying 24/7, but I’m not exactly a party animal either.
The biggest factors I’m considering are as followed:
- Core CS program (Key Question: Is UCB's program significantly better than UCLA's?)
- Job opportunity/Internships
- Social life/campus environment/location
Any and all feedback will be greatly appreciated!
