When I check on ASSIT, I can't find the agreement for astronomy between UCB and any cc. But there is an agreement for Astrophysics. And when I went to Berkeley 's website, there are only Astronomy or physics department. So Which department does astrophysics belong to? It seems it is a major by itself, but I cannot even find it as a major on the list of UCB's colleges and departments.

on UCB’s transfer pamphlet ( yes i keep one at my desk, i know im obsessed) under the majors list it says Atrophysics (including Astronomy)…so in essence, astronomy is part of atrophysics

Yeah, I did see that,too.

But when you declare major, what would that be? Astrophysics, which belongs to astronomy department? I’m not too sure about it, because it also says astrophysics is under physics department.

i think that depends on which aspect you want to focus on, if you want more of a physics approach to it then apply to the physics dept, if you want more of an astronomy approach to apply to the astronomy dept.
