Hi I am currently an undergraduate senior at UIUC and will be applying for an MS in Mechanical Engineering for the FALL 2021 cycle. However, I received a very confusing email from UC Berkeley today saying that they are not offering a terminal MS in Mechanical Engineering for the Fall 2021 admissions cycle. Does this mean that they won’t be offering an MS in Mechanical Engineering unless one is going to be pursuing a phD? If so, this is extremely surprising! Are there any other colleges that are not going to be offering an MS program for the Fall 2021 semester too?

- MEng program (industry oriented)
- MS as fifth year for current BS students in ME
- MS as the first stage of PhD program (research oriented)
