UCB Political Science PreReqs

Hey guys

I just wanted to clarify some things that I was wondering about in regards to the prerequisites for Berkeley's Political Science program.

The requirements for my school are:

Political Science - 2 out of 4
- American Gov't
- International Relations
- Comparative Politics
- Political Theory

History - 1 course (any)

At the end of this fall semester, I'll be finished with American Gov't, International Relations, Comparative Politics, and my one history course.

Will taking the last political science course (theory) increase my chances significantly? or will it not have that big of an effect especially because I'll be taking it in the spring? To be honest, I'd rather take classes that I've been wanting to take that are not related to my major.

Sorry if this has been asked before.

Won’t affect you. Just make sure to complete the course successfully. Check out [UC Transfer FAQ](http://www.uctransferfaq.com) for more info on this. Goodluck!

you forgot PS3

^Can you please elaborate? I’m not too sure of what PS3 is lol.

Edit: Oh, I see on Assist.org that means Introduction to Empirical Analysis and Quantitative Methods.

I didn’t include that on this thread because it says that it must be taken at Cal, so it didn’t seem to factor in.

Bump.

Can anyone else back up what Russkiy_Bear said?

I just want to make sure that competing only 3 out of 4 of the policitical science course prereqs (only 2/4 required) won’t affect my chances.

if you got accepted, you would have to take one political theory class anyways.
