So, there are 3 categories of people.
- When you click withdraw, it says that you are “Unauthorized” - we think it is a rejection
- When you click withdraw, the form pops up and it says “I wish to withdraw from further consideration” - we think it is a waitlist
- When you click withdraw, the form pops up and it says “I will not come to Berkeley and wish to withdraw” - we think it is an acceptance

She didnt want to speculate , so she messaged me this .
wait is number 3 “I am no longer interested in attending UC Berkeley and wish to withdraw my application.”
these people probably tried the welcome reception after the patch so they saw it as unauthorized but they were still accepted so they can see the withdrawal form

My suspicion is that they combined 2 and 3 into 1 message to preserve some ambiguity.

Everyone used to have this message, my guess is WL or still updating if you didn’t have authorization to the event.
