UCD Chances

I intend to apply to Davis in November (as my number 1 choice!), and I was wondering if you guys could help me figure out my chances of getting it. Thanks.

Here are my stats (ask for more if you want/need):

Soph year GPA: 3.36

Junior year GPA: weighted: 4.17
unweighted: 4.0

Overall soph/junior GPA: weighted: 3.765
unweighted: 3.68
EDIT: If i calculated it right, UC GPA is 3.73

SAT: (took 2 times)
Reading: 630 Math: 670 Writing: 700 —> Total: 2000
Reading: 710 Math: 640 Writing: 730 —> Total: 2080
—> Superscored: 2110

ACT: Comb English/Writing: 33
Composite: 31

SAT Subject test scores:
Literature: 720
Math 2: 630
US history: 700

I took the AP Environmental Science class and scored 4 on the AP test. I also scored 4 on the AP US history test, but did not take the class.

Work Experience: 4 Summers working ~30 hours a week
Extracurriculars: 3 years of Debate and Public Speaking, as well as one year of Cross Country

I also have a few minor awards from various sources…

Chances? And/or what do i need to do to help improve my chances? ALSO, possible Political Science major

You look solid (:

you have 0% chance of making it in.

Davis accepts around 68% applicants, and your SAT’s are well above the 50% range. I’d say you’re in.

okay… first off, don’t listen to “thekakaru”

You have a solid chance of getting in. Not saying you’re guaranteed in, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if you did. Good luck in March!

Your gpa is far below the average ( which is 4.0 Weighted)
but all of your other info is well above average, uc’s dont superscore or any of that, but i think that you have a good shot.

mcccormickt12, don’t they look at the UC gpa, not your weighted/unweighted? 3.7 for a UC gpa is very good, well…I made it and mine was horrible  You’re set, determined student!

Are you kidding me? This’ll get you in. My GPA was around yours, but my SATs sucked. You have great SAT scores (for Davis standards) and a pretty decent GPA. I’d say welcome to Davis.
