I did some research and looked at forums...still nothing. I cannot decide between Davis or Santa Barbara. Peoplve oe where should go?! Leave your opinions because I need to decide..

getting into the econ major at ucsb is considerably difficult given the pre-major requirements and the amount of weeding out that goes on. I’m not a student there (will be attending in the fall) but have already heard complaints about the rigor of getting in. UCD might have the same problem though.

Go where you feel most comfortable going to. People can’t decide this for you. Only you can. Some questions to consider:

Where do you want to live?
Does culture matter to you?
Which school will put you less in debt?
How far is each school from my family? Etc…

If you actually want an accounting focus I believe only UCSB offers that major. Personally, I would prefer UCSB for its location and social life, but Davis has a charming college town as well, so that is a matter of personal preference in lifestyle. I know the big accounting firms recruit at UCSB, but I suspect they do at Davis, as well. Where do you want to live for the next four years? I don’t really think the difference in the overall academics between the two UCs is enough to matter, either way.
