Now that i am done celebrating and partying its time to make a decison!
i got accepted to all these good universities. Thu I got accepted for spring semester at UCB,i can still attend the Fall Extension program they offer and still take most of the classes i would have taken anyways.
whatever, could u tell me which is best between UCD, UCI and UCSB, not just academically but also socially and stuff. and would you go to the fall extension program then start at UCB in the spring? btw i am majoring in biochem and hoping to do well and go to medical school.
if it was YOU, what would you choose? what are the pros and cons of each? Your opinion is important to me, especially if you are on the path of medical school.
help me please, i am lost i cant mke up my mind, i have thousands of things running through my head. Its crazy!!!

UCSB is a great school. I know a lot of people who go there, and they seem to hold a favorable opinion of it. I have a very negative bias against UCI - I don’t really like the campus, and people I know there are not happy people (that doesn’t mean the campus isn’t happy, it just seems people I know from there are not)

Yazan, I would suggest visiting the sections of this BB that are devoted to those schools. You will likely find many there who faced the same decision a year or two ago.

My vote, ONLY if you really like intense pressure, is to to the Berkeley option for Spring admittace. A neighbor did that same thing, and told me there is really no practical difference between fall and spring admit status.

Hey, UCSB has a truly wonderful campus and UC Davies is also great for Biochem. I suggest you try to look into Davies and inquire what it can offer you as a student and as a future alumnus. The UC is a great school. It’s just that, Berkeley has got more prestige, not only across America but in the entire universe. I think it’s one of Berkeley’s strongest assets. As for the teaching standard, I would guess that they’re all pretty the same, except when you try to seriously consider science and engineering where Berkeley is a “king” on those programs.
