UCD vs UCSD for Biomedical Engineering/Neuro

I need help choosing an undergrad college! I'm in between Cognitive at UCSD and Biomedical Engineering at UCD. I read that Cog at UCSD is about top 10 while UCD's BME is about top 30. I originally applied to UCSD for BME as primary major, but I got into my second choice major. I understand that in theory I could just go from UCSD's Cog major and enter into the BME/neuro field. I live NorCal, but I have no problem going to Socal. In your opinion do you think there is an easy way to compare the two, or are we just talking apples and oranges? Thanks!-IVP

Bump. Assistance please! (:

it really depends on what you want to do in your future career - is it cog sci or biomedical engineer? if you’re dead set on being a biomedical engineer, UCD might be the safer route since it’s never 100% guaranteed that you’ll get into the UCSD biomed engineering program. if the prestige of the school matters a lot in whatever you’re doing, you can always apply to the UCSD grad school while securing an undergrad degree in biomed engineering from ucd

Thanks Quick, I’ll take that into consideration
