UCF has largest undergrad Hillel outside of Israel

TOP FIVE:

Ben-Gurion University of the Negev 11,500
Hebrew University 12,000
Technion-Israel Institute of Technology 9,300
University of Central Florida 6,000
University of Florida 5,500

UCF offers 15 Jewish Studies courses.
They have a brand new Hillel facility named "The Vault".

I think that UCF may share its hillel with nearby smaller schools (Rollins, Stetson, and Valencia CC).

Yes I think you are correct but it still is very surprising.

There was a large article in the UCF paper sometime this spring where they were talking about a guy in Orlando who has donated a lot of money to the Hillel group on campus. He's also puchased property, where an old Winn Dixie currently stands, across the street from the new football stadium (on McCulloh ... kind of going into the Carillon neighborhood.) Anyway, he'd like to take this large corner property and build a ministries center where there'd be a combined Hillel and, I believe, catholic presence. He wants to include housing, etc. I remember reading about it because the folks that live in Carillon weren't totally in love with the idea of the university spreading even farther that direction. Not sure when he plans to do this, or if this is just in the supposin' stage, but that was his idea.

Zebes

wow, that would be really nice. Hope it goes through!

This is pretty neat, as I know a student who is highly involved with leadership within the UCF Hillel.
