UCF or FIU ( Civil engineering )
Okay here’s the thing I got accepted to both schools and the tuition and fees are very similar and both will be covered by financial aid. I just want to have a better idea of which school is best for me. I live down here in Miami with my parents, so I would save money when it comes to rent and off campus living if I attend FIU. Unlike UCF where I would just have to spend money on living expense like rent and food. CpAlso I did some personal research and came to an idea that UCF is a better school engineering wise ( based on a "smart rate " out of a pie circle that takes plenty of things into consideration. UCF 88% score and FIU 54% score ) but I’m really not sure if its that worth it to actually move up north and pay for living off campus just for a better program. I’m also really not sure in depth and personal how big of a differences the program is a at UCF than FIU.
So basically the question I’m Asking guys is " is it worth paying the extra 700$ ( approximation ) a month on living expense for a better program? Btw I’m going to use some of my personal savings and if I need any more financial assistance I would take out a federal loan just for rent and food… Or should I just jump into the FIU program and save my money while living with my parents as I continue my studies?
Another question, does graduating from UCF give me a better position after graduation in finding a job or being recruited plus better pay than FIU?
Thanks guys very much appreciate
