Hey guys, I have a few questions in regards to UCF housing, off campus.

Are there any places I can look for 4/4 or 4/3 houses/apartments that are at least somewhat near UCF? Assuming I share with housemates.

I've only visited Orlando in its tourism sector, various times, for Disney parks. However, in the outskirts of Orlando, how hard is it find jobs?

Is it safe to live in a house, or is apartment safer?

Surprised no one answered your questions yet, so I’ll try to help.

There’s a load of off-campus housing surrounding UCF that even offers shuttle buses to and from UCF. Look into those. There are many threads here that discusses them, also.

People say it’s hard to find a job, but I think that only applies for the walking-distance areas surrounding UCF since a lot of UCF students fight for those- mostly ones without a car. I’ve had a month with an urge of trying to get a job and found a bunch of openings from the airport to disney world to just regular small businesses. You can’t just lay around and expect someone to offer a job on a platter for you- you have to put yourself out there. Apply to a bunch of places and wait patiently. Opportunities are endless in Orlando, and they are there for you to seize. It just depends on how bad you want them.

I’m not sure how to answer this question. For apartment complexes, a lot of places around UCF are gated communities- some are not. Generally though, the area around UCF is pretty safe. It’s places like OBT that you should stray away from.
