We won’t know the dollar amounts until recipients start receiving their official mailed UCF scholarship notification letters.I emailed the UCF scholarship address this afternoon asking them for a listing of the award amounts but they have yet to respond (and they would not provide this information over the phone). It seems that they shifted the amounts pretty significantly from 2015 to 2016 for the Pegasus Gold and the Provost awards by decreasing the Pegasus Gold amounts and increasing the Provost amounts - it will be interesting to find out what happens with the 2017 amounts. If I hear anything, I’ll post it here.
For all the people who’ve gotten a scholarship, did you already accept and pay the $200 admission enrollment deposit?
Also where do i see whether or not i got a scholarship?
I did not accept/enroll yet–was waiting on offer.
@16mom828 I also emailed with no success. I agree, we’ll prob have to wait on letters. I think last year bronze was 6k, silver 10k, gold 14k, provost 30k–all over 4 years.
@VABogart FYI, the largest OOS scholarship is the Knight Achievement Award. Last year it was $11,000 a year (total of $44K over 4 years), Looking at some of the post over the last few years, the stats required for the Knights is a bit less than the Provost… Good Luck!

When you say that Provost equates to $30K, is it per year or the total for four years?
Congrats @CaucAsianDad, @Gator88NE @16mom828 , and @educationfan! Hopefully we’ll all hear some good news within a few days!
@educationfan It’s a total over 4 years, or $7,500 a year for a total of $30K (last year’s award). Keep in mind that tuition and fees at UCF is about $6,400 or so a year for in-state students, plus in-state students who are awarded Provost or Pegasus will likely also get Bright futures scholarships.
I finished my Burnett application and have yet to send it because I’m waiting for the scholarship notification. Do you guys think I should send it anyways, or wait until/if I receive a scholarship?
@ks3210 From what I understand, Burnett honors college is on rolling admission so it probably is best to apply earlier rather than later. They seem to be selective so perhaps they use similar criteria for admission to the college as those used for scholarships. According to @GSMSTer post in another thread, looks like they got in Burnett Honors college pretty early on. I’d probably send it if i were you. Any new news with scholarship roll-call for today? Pretty quiet.
Nothing yet here. OOS, above average but not top stats.
@STEM2017 same here. Was hopeful to hear something. Fingers crossed we’ll all hear sometime soon. Wonder if you’re notified whether or not you are awarded?
@ks3210 you should definitely apply now - you can always email them after your submission to notify them of any UCF merit scholarships you receive. My son applied to the Burnett Honors College in mid-October and was offered admission the following week. The turn around time will, most likely, start to take longer as more people begin to apply. With your stats, you look like a strong candidate
@16mom828 @Going2UCF thanks so much! I’ll send it in tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
Good luck @ks3210 !

@Gator88NE Thank you for info! On another note, is anyone planning to major in engineering? If so, were you able to tour UCF engineering facilities(labs, work shops etc)? We toured the best engineering schools in NE and Mid West and all of them have proudly showcased their engineering departments. I spoke with both UCF admissions and engineering, and was told that they do not offer any engineering tours… Very strange, especially since they are trying to earn a reputation for their engineering program.
@Gator88NE They don’t show the buildings themselves on the tour, but they do break off the group by what you’re majoring in. For me, they broke me off into “mechanical/electrical engineering” and we were taken to one of the engineering classrooms where they discussed the curriculum for ~20 mins. As for the facilities, you don’t really get to see the technology or the engineering classes either.
