UCHI '24 EA CHANCE ME *** (I don't think I'm getting in...)

Hi!! Please let me know what you think:

ACT: Highest Composite 30// 31 Superscore // 11 writing
GPA: 3.5 UW, 4.2 W
Class rank: not official, but probably top 15-20% (class size 400)
AP: school only offers 6 AP’s, took Psych (4), Stats (4), US Hist (4), will take Spanish and AB Calc
School: #1 public school in Mass, extremely competitive
Demographics: Female, Asian, straight, applying for financial aid, lower class
Major: Psychology
Awards: Won a merit scholarship to Oxbridge summer programs, 2x Silver Medal award at Spanish speaking competition
Recs: Two from employers (pretty good), two from teachers (both amazing because I have a really good relationship with them, one of the teachers’ close relatives is the dean of admissions at Uchicago)
EC’s and Community: Varsity Soccer (9,10), Theater-- musicals and plays (11, 12), acapella group (10,11,12), work at a Spanish preschool for underpriviledged children (9,10,11,12), interned at the Massachusetts Legislature (11, 12), intern at biggest law firm in Boston (11), spend every summer helping impoverished communities around the world (9,10,11), elected deacon at church (12), fluent Spanish, French, German, Korean speaker
Common app essay: Wrote about my experience being in both the 1% wealth and then getting to below the poverty line
Supplements: both excellent as English is my strongest class, made up my own quirky question
Senior course load: 5 honors humanities classes, honors physics, AP Calc AB (7 classes total, most seniors take 4-5)

Other: never visited, did not submit video profile ( i know, but i was so busy)

I’d say it comes down to the essays!. Best of luck! I applied to UChicago, too!

I mean you never know what culmination of factors makes an admissions officer say yes, but you have an extremely strong academic and extracurricular resume! Good luck on decisions today.
