UChicago 2021 Applicant Thread

hey everyone! Super nervous! Does anyone know when do Northwestern and UCLA release their decisions?

I don’t care when it is, I just need a specific time!!!

UCLA releases at 5pm PT

UChicago:
Very classy…

As we prepare to release Regular Decision admissions decisions on March 17th, we want to take this moment to say “thank you” — you are ALL amazing. You have gotten back to basics at square one, parsed complicated wholes into their constituent parts, hit the nail on the head with your idioms, taken us through unexpected portals to exciting new worlds, and traced the origins of vestigial relics. You are among the most brilliant, ambitious, and academically qualified students in the world. We feel privileged to have shared in your ideas and accomplishments, and to have gotten to know you.

Best wishes to you all,
James G. Nondorf
Dean of Admissions & Financial Aid

Good Luck Everyone!

Alright my dudes if it doesnt come out by :31, Im going to bed. Bet.

@johonmilla I am planning on majoring in physics and specialize in astrophysics probably

So what time is it going to be then?

mood: hello darkness my old friend

mood: nervous sad happy stressed excited worried

mood: suicidal

where is peppa pig when you need her

@MadAstro I was planning that too, but I am considering adding an economics double major because astrophysics is a very small and competitive career.

…and if there’s a reason UChicago seems to be delaying so that everyone on here can get accepted…

then I’m willing to wait for it

Chicago admissions seems to have acceptile dysfunction

nope

@johonmilla true, but i’m planning on jumping right into grad school after i graduate undergrad, earn a PhD and be a Postdoc and then pursue a faculty position in a university.

Guys I was trying to log in for the 428th time and got a different screen than the others…
I typed in my password wrong

@MadAstro same. , except in going for NASA or SpaceX after doctorate. Good luck!

@MadAstro @johonmilla I’m majoring in astrophysics/physics on a pre-med track since astrophysics is pretty small and competitive

@CactusUsername more like rejectile dysfunction
