Hi, so I just started my aid application on my UChicago portal, and it asks “What is the official exchange rate of your country’s currency to U.S. dollar today?”
When I try writing “0.71” though it doesn’t let me. (apparently, I can’t write any decimal points/percentages/fractions)
I’m not sure what I should be writing here. I could just write 1 and then explain later in the additional notes box that it’s actually 0.71, but I’m not sure.
Thank you
May I suggest you email the University of Chicago and ask them how to proceed? I would suggest attaching a screen shot that shows the error you get when you try to enter 0.71.
It’s possible that there’s a glitch in their portal that they need to fix. It’s also conceivable that the website works in a weird non-standard way. (E.g. the old IRS tax forms didn’t allow decimals either. Cents went into a different column…)
