In the UChicago international aid application, they ask “What is the official exchange rate of your country’s currency to U.S. dollar today?” but when I write “0.71” it does not accept it as an input. What should I write instead?
Does it ask for a percentage? Try that.
I just tried, it doesn’t allow any decimal point, percentages, or even fractions, just whole numbers. I don’t even know what to write there.
Same problem, but with Euros
Have you tried emailing or calling the international admissions team (who review international fin aid)?

E-mailed them yesterday — No reply yet
I ended up writing “0” and then explaining in the additional comments section how it didnt let me write the exchange rate and that it’s actually 0.71, but I’m not sure if that’s allowed.
You guys are getting it all wrong.
The right way to input the official exchange rate is in this format
(Amount)( name of currency) =1 dollar
For example: 360 naira = 1$
Make sure the dollar sign is correct and nothing different from the one above. So it is advisable you use a computer or laptop.
Now they changed it so that decimals can be inputed, but it automatically places a dollar sign for some reason
