UChicago places in top 20 for student satisfaction

This should put to rest the myth that students there are some of the most dissatisfied in the nation.

America's Best Colleges - Forbes.com

It seems to compare apples and oranges. a LAC is a completely different animal from a RU–not to even to the issue of Service Academies. I wish Forbes would just demarcate their lists a bit better. Even if it the quality of undergraduate education, again, one persons small intimate environment is another persons inability to be in a world famous lab. Neither are better-- just different. UC is excellent for what it is. It will never be Williams or West Point, nor should it ever aspire to. (BTW to place Claremont-McKenna higher than Yale is just plain weird, I’m sorry–just weird.)

And if it college student satisfaction-- Pepperdine where the student are literally on the Malibu beach has everyone else beat hands down :-)

If you pry apart the list into colleges and research universities, it looks a lot more conventional.

Forbes is uncapable of proving anything. It’s so flawed that it can’t be taken seriously.

i heard that Forbes sales have gone up in Williamstown, MA.

And it very well should have. Gotta love those Ephs!

This would be a good PR for UChicago:
