<p>Not a confirmed time, but definitely late afternoon. My EA decision email came around 4:30, so sometime around there…?</p>

<p>Which leads me to a question. I seem to recall in the past someone said if you are accepted your portal has fireworks when you log in. Is this true or am I making it up.</p>

<p>I was accepted EA. When I looked online at the decision, there were confetti bubbles that shoot out all over the screen that spell Congratulations. It’s a pretty awesome way to find out.</p>

<p>In the email, there is a link that takes you to the login page. Once you’ve signed in, it takes you to your letter!</p>

<p>Yup, I got mine 4:30 EST!</p>

<p>Yeah, it’s the coolest thing in the world! Each letter in “congratulations” is on a separate balloon-thing that comes flying in to spell out congratulations :)</p>

<p>I think this confetti thing is terrible haha, rejected students know straight away. I mean you could get stabbed through the heart slowly or it could come like a bolt of lightning, UChicago chose the lightning.</p>

<p>Actually, if it’s at 4:30 then either way it’ll probably be a slow and painful stab in the heart since the servers will probably be extremely slow and take 5 minutes to load the rejection (or the balloons, haha).</p>

<p>Gonna put off finding out til 5:00…lightning=preferable.</p>
