UChicago vs Ivy League Prestige

How does UChicago compare to the ivy leagues based purely on prestige (nationally, and wordwide)? Obviously schools like Harvard or Yale are more prestigious, but what about schools like Cornell, Columbia, Dartmouth, Penn etc?

I mean prestigious as in how powerful the alumni are, networking, and how people view the colleges reputation etc.

When it comes to the perspective of prestige, I don’t really care about what a random person on the street thinks. I care about what CEO’s, business leaders, financial/consulting firms think about UChicago vs Ivy leagues.

Also, as I have been researching on this topic, many people just say that prestige isn’t everything, and that “you need to find a school that fit’s you.” Quite frankly, I feel that although prestige isn’t everything, it is a very important factor because it shapes the type of people you meet, the alumni you connect with, and hence the career that follows. Ive come to realize that the people you meet and networking is huge in the business world.

For IB’s, it is a peer, but your major and grades will be determinative if you are thinking of internships and full time analyst positions. Demonstrated quantitative skills are a must for almost all IB’s these days.
