Hi guys, i just got accepted couple of days ago to henry school of engineering. Still waiting on ucla and berkeley though.
Gpa: 3.91
Didnt finish 2 prereqs and 2 ge classes.
Transferable credit: 67
I did receive an email that told me to check on my status update. They sent it out every 3am apparently

I don’t even think I want to go to UCI any more. UCD already accepted me and I will probably go there if I don’t get accepted to UCLA or Cal

Any Business Information Management major?
Or International studies?
I haven’t heard yet,
anythin:(
Can anyone share your stats for these majors?

Anyone ever get into UCI with a low GPA?
I have a 2.85 right now and my academic renewal is pending to bump it up to 3.05

I applied for biology (I know I’m not going to get in for this)
and East Asian Cultures. (my hopeful backup)

No tag, incomplete IGETC (no languages I wanted to take at my college)

I know it’s looking bad, real bad right now, but UCI is my first choice and i’ve worked tremendously hard to get in. The reason my GPA is so low is because i’ve been taking all science classes @ 19+ credits per semester with tons of volunteer work every weekend.

no idea, Scribbs. I’m on the same boat as you are. I have a low GPA (2.9-3.0), but I’m not sure if that will affect my chances of getting into my East Asian Cultures major since I read that the minimum GPA requirement for that major is a 2.8. However, I’m still nervous. I didn’t TAG and my IGETC is incomplete as well.

I have a low GPA too, but I’m applying to Psychology with no TAG either. :[
But I’m done with IGETC this semester and I am pretty sure I finished all my pre-reqs.
And I have almost no extra curricular…
So for the sake of us, I hope we get accepted! Good luck.

@ Scribbs

You have a back up right ?

I got into UCR for my preferred, as well as a bunch of CSU’s. It’s just that I think the campus environment is an important part of the learning experience, and that the best campus for me is UCI. The other UC’s haven’t replied yet, but I’ve visited them and I feel that they can’t give me the experience I’m looking for in a college, which is an education in a school which has close ties and proximity with the largest Asian communities in the U.S. (Think Little Saigon, Korea Town, Little Tokyo, China Town), that will help me with my volunteer efforts.

Well, I got rejected from Davis straight up. I was missing one of 3 pre-reqs though, but I’m not even sure if that had anything to do with it.
I did almost all of them for UCI, will have everything except the Comp SCI class by the summer, IGETC all finished. (Doing Java and Calc right now…)

Hopefully UCI will be different and accept more than 2800 people. I have a 3.17 GPA and did not tag.

i walked on UCI campus the other day. It looks a lot better than the ucsd campus.

Hi, accepted a few weeks ago!
Major: Psychology and Social Behavior
3.7 GPA w/ TAG and complete IGETC.

I still know of plenty of people who haven’t heard back yet…so for those of you who haven’t heard anything, you’re definitely not alone…I’m sure UCI is just taking their sweet time (as is UCLA and UCSD!!!)

Good luck everyone!! :)

Is anyone else still pending? I’m so nervous, everyone of my friend heard from UCI, but I haven’t yet. Is that signal a rejection letter coming soon? :(

I’m still pending.

English Major
3.3-3.4 GPA
TAGed (but probably voided because I didn’t finish prereqs)
TAP
IGETC done

dezziner: UCI doesn’t mandate completion of prereq’s for English. I almost didn’t touch the foreign language requirement and was accepted. Your TAG is probably fine provided you didn’t leave too much unfinished.

I’m pending as well.

And just yesterday. I notified them of my planned schedule change for summer. I think that’s going to affect my admission chances greatly.

@phantomazero: Yeah, that’s the only part I haven’t finished. I went up to Spanish 3 for the other schools so I’m only missing a year of language. I just wanna hear already!

Hey guys. One of my friend’s said that for Business major you MUST take Calc and in my case I didn’t know until today. Therefore, I changed my major through the message center. Do you think this is a smart idea? I changed it to Psychology and Social Behavior, because I took literally 5 psychology courses.

Honestly? It might be a little late in the game to be changing your major, but I guess its worth a shot. Are you absolutely positive that it’s required and not just recommended?

Just checked. You’re right. It is required. I hope they get your message in time!

Can I see somewhere what courses of mine transfer? or how many units I would be transferring with?
