I am terrified of being in that last batch of rejections

is that the batch of rejections they just send out? I got an email say the decision is posted. I’m so scared to look and don’t want to be distracted of my studying. Was there any chance, maybe an acceptance letter in there?

Wow!
A bunch of people were just rejected?? And I wasn’t one of them!
I’m still being evaluated. Ahhh.

@bjt223 As far as I can tell, no one was accepted last night or this morning. But it’s certainly possible.

Asking us isn’t going to help! Go check man I’m literally crossing my fingers for you!

Just wondering, where have you guys been checking? ZotPortal or MyAdmissions?

lol, both, repeatedly. And my financial aid status. I’m somehow convinced that ZotPortal could be changed without MyAdmissionsApplication being changed, or vice versa, but that’s highly unlikely.

@tilly

I meant filled out igetc, in state, had right amount of units

@sam0318. I got similar stat as yours. I got same resuls as well. What your plan now?

By what date does UCR want you to tell them you’re going there?

spada, UCR’s SIR is due by June 1.

I told you guys I got rejected and you guys thought I was ■■■■■■■■. :(

I can’t believe I made this mistake but I just found out that I only have completed 59 UC transferable units… I’m shocked at myself and my stupidity… Oh well, now it makes sense why I was rejected with 4.0.

Although I know this is the obvious reason, I called UCI asking for the reason of my rejection, and the lady said there wasn’t any reason explained on my file, but I should definitely contact a counselor after May 8th and discuss it.

I thought UCI became a super tough school this year, but I guess it was on my end. For those who are still waiting, unless you have made a stupid mistake like me, you still have hope, so don’t discourage yourself just yet!!! Fight on!!! (My first-choice is USC…)

@Morshe lol sorry, it’s probably just because you were first and we didn’t want to believe that rejections were really on their way… and because it looks like you got into UCLA…?

@whisper I cannot believe they would reject you for one lousy unit. I’m more apt to believe that it’s the foreign language which got you. You should definitely let us know what the counselor says. And I’m really sorry that this happened to you-- UCI is clearly missing out on a great student! :(

That makes sense. You meant 59 by spring right? Where have you gotten in? Best of luck!

For those that were rejected, what does the message say?

@melanie

Thanks for your words and I’ll definitely let you all know what I hear. I asked one of the UCI admission counselors about missing foreign language sometime in February and was told it would not affect my admission decision at all as FL is only required to graduate, not to transfer. If her words were correct, I strongly believe that my 59 units killed it for me. I know it’s too bad but I just have to move on.

@whisper Everything happens for a reason, and if you get into USC I don’t think you’ll be upset over UCI’s rejection. Best of luck!

I’m a little relieved I’m still pending haha I hope it’s a good thing
