<p>This is practically one of the only positive threads I’ve come across all day… I think that’s half the reason I want to go to UCI in the first place. Sometimes, regarding other schools, I feel like everyone is competing against one another. At least we’re being down to earth and encouraging :)</p>
<p>Honestly, I think UCI would be a perfect school for me. I really do. I just hope that if I do get accepted I don’t end up with a bunch of kids who are bitter about not getting into UCLA (like everyone says I will).</p>
<p>UCI has been my #1 choice since I started at a cc. People have constantly asked me why Uci and why not ucla, my parents kept pushing for ucla…besides the fact that my stats aren’t that high, I’ve come to realize Uci is the school for me. There’s not one person I know that has gone to Uci and said they hated it, yet I’ve met many ppl that have gone to ucla and hated the experience. I’m sure this doesn’t go for everyone. Uci= perfect location, great academics, awesome people. Sounds like amazing :)</p>
<p>There’s also the fact that I love Orange County and hate Los Angeles… don’t ask me why.</p>
<p>Saaaaaammme!! I’ve wanted to go to UCI for the past 2 years !!! Although around Westwood isn’t too bad, how can you beat the city of Irvine? So flipping clean!! </p>
<p>And whoot whoot Lakers!! Only thing I like from LA …</p>
<p>There are probably some bitter people but they won’t stick around campus much anyway. It is a little bit of a commuter school since a lot of the people that go there are from Orange County but if you involve yourself in a few things (clubs etc) there are a ton of people that are excited to be there The only thing I’ve noticed is that sometimes you have to put in a little bit of effort to be social and meet people because a lot of the students that go there have known each other since high school.</p>
<p>I think if we all get in we’re gonna have so much irvine pride, I know I will!!! </p>
<p>And definitely go lakers!! Hahaha :D</p>
