UCI - civil engineering?

Hi!

I got into UCI as a mechanical engineering major but I am thinking of changing to civil engineering, but I cannot stand biology or chemistry. I'm looking more into the structural aspects of civil engineering. So I'm wondering if I am required to take bio and/or chem classes to complete a civil engineering major and if so, what would be the minimum amount of classes I'd have to take? And if I don't take those extra bio or chem classes, what classes would I be taking instead?

Yes, you have to take chem:

The 14/15 catalog isn’t available yet, but I wouldn’t imagine there would be big changes.
