<p>@yoyome you are wrong. It depends on your major. Every college accepts a greater number of students they can admit due to the fact that not all students will end up attending. If you are deserving you will be selected. If you match the pre req for impact majors you WILL be selected. If not that, you’ll be given your alternate major. Worst case scenario “waitlisted” but even for that you have to be deserving. It’s not like a first come first serve basis being followed here. </p>

<p>Honestly, I think UCI made a mistake with this “batches” of admissions approach My kids have been accepted at other UCs and moved on. Not being accepted while honors students are notified first is one thing but when your stats are up there yourself, it starts to feel like you are being insulted as others get their decisions. </p>
<p>If my kids were admitted in the last couple of days they don’t know and no longer care. They never toured there or anything, but UCI really turned them off with this process. I can’t honestly imagine what they were thinking to handle this this way. </p>

<p>@collegevetting If your kids REALLY want to go to UCI, then they would still care. I agree about the decisions made in batches though. It makes it frustrating for everyone.</p>
<p>The way UCLA,UCB,UCD and UCSD post their decisions on a specific date is much better than the killing wait batches that UCR AND UCI use… seriously they need to change their way of notifying… </p>

<p>Omg I’m checking every class… This is torture. I can’t even think about my classes. I need to know the results and move on with life. I get that they are trying to prevent a crash but SB did one wave and it was perfect… What I’d Irvine doing…</p>
<p>I applied for nursing and this is so frustrating! I’m visiting the campus tomorrow and want to know if I’m in it not. I’m constantly refreshing my browser. TORTURE</p>

Are you sure Friday is the last day? Because I saw on the website that they are still rolling their decisions out until march 31 (most likely rejections after Friday)</p>
<p>Have they sent out any rejections yet? I don’t think anyone has posted rejections or wait lists.</p>
<p>The reason for a person might not hear until like later is because each applicant is different, cuz there are some applications out there they need MORE time on. In other words, the admission officers need more time independently to go over you application multiple times and decide on it. specially for those with low stats but they seem good applicants to be accepted. </p>
