if anyone could chance me that would be great…i’m not confident in any school that i have left to hear from as i’ve been rejected from sdsu already (sjsu and sfsu took me for biochem, plnu took me for nursing). i still have not heard from slo which i’m assuming at this point is bad news, and of course the 4 uc’s i applied to: ucsb, uci, ucr, and ucsc.
uc gpa: 3.63
sat: 1130/1600 (math: 530 lol, and english 600)
act: 25
dance team for 2 years (tore acl so did not participate this year but did mention that in my apps), hospital volunteer in the er for 2 years, member of national honor society for 3 years (secretary junior year, VP senior year)
i’ve taken only one ap exam (ap lang and comp, scored a 3)
current course load is: ap calc ab, ap literature and comp, anatomy & phys, gov/econ
2 years of honors english, 2 of ap english, 1 of ap math (this year)
i did earn a D in ap biology first semester last year…this was due to being hospitalized for most of the year which i did mention in my app, gpa hit an all time low of 3.1 that semester due to being sick.
intended major is english/linguistics

I have yet to hear back from UCI. My major is biochemistry.
But I know many poli sci people who got accepted as well as friends in psychology and music majors who got accepted already. So that’s why I think it’s based on major maybe.
@akizaka46 your friends who got accepted already, was that through regents/chp or regular decision?
has there been acceptances for business majors?

I haven’t heard any computer engineers so I guess it’s by major?

so I guess people who are admitted regular will come later
@Avancer Yup, they sent me an email! My ACT score is 34 and I have a 4.00 unweighted GPA

UCI calculated my official financial aid award (zero lol), could this mean anything or do they do this regardless of an applicants status?
@collegehopeful2021chs They haven’t calculated mine yet… Although I’ve heard that many colleges calculate all students’ financial aid packages regardless of if they are accepted or not, I don’t know about UCI’s policy.
